N2  -  Abstract Nowadays, Gram Negative Multi-Drug Resistant bacteria transmission is a serious epidemiological topic. In fact, hospitals have to guarantee 1. microbiological analysis whose aim must be the identification of different resistance mechanisms, 2. therapeutic treatments – which have to be focused only on patients who show symptoms – and 3. welfare approaches which need to take account of monitoring and operative new rules. Procedures must be standardized locally on the basis of internal protocols aimed to reduce intra-hospital MDR-Gram Negative bacteria transmission.
